A Call for Workplace Accountability: My Experience
This story is not mine alone. To all the professionals out there whose salaries have not been paid, whose rights have been violated in the workplace, and whose voices have not been heard by the corporate world, know that you are not alone and your voice is important.
I am Sandhya Priyadarsini, with over 25 years of experience in operation leadership in various industries, including customer experience, service delivery, quality, and training, as well as organizational transformation. Like many professionals, I have always believed in the importance of hard work, ethics, and integrity in the workplace. However, I have realized that these values are not always practiced in the workplace.
The Story
I joined as a Vice President of Quality and Training in the Oneverse Group dated Dec 10th 2024.
Oneverse Group comprises of several entities, including Poker Dangal, Kubera, Trade One, My Team 11, Poker Saint, Deccan Rummy, Calling Station, Rummy777, and Spartan Poker.
Following the announcement of the proposed ban on real money games in India, the department was instructed to stop all the proposed training programs.
Until July 2025, the employees were paid on time. However, the proposed bill, the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, was enacted on August 21, 2025, and was set to be implemented on October 1, 2025, forcing companies to stop accepting deposits from players for cash games. Following this, the employees were promised that there would be no job loss, and the pending salaries would be paid as soon as possible.
Consequently, I was told to halt all quality and training-related functions. September 2025 onwards, my team and I started working with Gutshot Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. for B2B business and TOABH - Talent Management. In November 2025, my role changed to Gutshot Entertainment, and by then, I had already started pitching TOABH to potential clients.
At first, everything was normal in the organization. My team and I were working hard. However, come August 2025, things took a dramatic turn for the worse. Salary payments were halted in our organization. Initially, we were told that it was a temporary setback and that our salaries would be paid soon. However, this went on for a long period without any solution in sight.
The Silence
What surprised me most was that nobody said a word about this issue. Emails were not being responded to, and after sending numerous reminders via WhatsApp, communication came to a halt, and I got blocked. It was expected that we would just have to endure this and get by.
This is a common occurrence in professional circles, but nobody is brave enough to speak about it openly.
The Bigger Issue
This is a bigger issue in our professional circles. Many professionals have to endure delayed salaries and a general lack of accountability in this regard. The question that comes to mind is whether the Directors and CEO invested in other ventures by not paying their current employees? The silence from our Directors and CEO has led to them undertaking new ventures while we were in the dark and misinformed about our salaries and told that our dues would be paid soon.
Why I Am Speaking Out
Today, I have decided to break the silence. Being a professional with years of experience, I am aware that similar situations can occur with anyone during their professional life. I also believe that silence is not the only choice we are left with. This blog will highlight real-life situations, accountability in the workplace, and the challenges that employees go through.

Perhaps the most difficult thing to do in a professional career is to tell the truth.
